The Indian government has announced the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for various Rabi crops for the 2025-26 marketing season, aiming to ensure that farmers receive a fair return above their production costs. This decision reflects the government's commitment to supporting agricultural income and promoting diversification towards oilseeds and pulses. The increases in MSP are as follows:



1. Wheat: ₹2,425 (increase of ₹150, 105% margin)


2. Barley: ₹1,980 (increase of ₹130, 60% margin)


3. Gram: ₹5,650 (increase of ₹210, 60% margin)


4. Lentil (Masur): ₹6,700 (increase of ₹275, 89% margin)


5. Rapeseed & Mustard: ₹5,950 (increase of ₹300, 98% margin)


6. Safflower: ₹5,940 (increase of ₹140, 52% margin)








These adjustments are part of the government's broader strategy to enhance farmer livelihoods and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
